Position Summary
As a CNC Mill Machinist, you will set up, run, and maintain milling CNC equipment. You’ll interpret drawings, select tooling, load materials, and inspect parts while maintaining high productivity. This role requires the physical capability to safely lift and position workpieces up to 50 lbs and maintain often extended periods of standing.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC mills, including fixture alignment, offsetting, tool changes, and proofing.
Read and interpret drawings, CAD files and GD&T specifications to determine machining steps.
Measure and inspect components using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, height indicators, and gauges.
Load raw materials and finished parts; lift up to 50 lbs as needed for setup and handling.
Monitor machines during runs, make necessary adjustments to feeds/speeds, ensure part quality, and document any deviations or defects.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment and workspaces.
Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or GED required; relevant vocational training or apprenticeship preferred
1+ years of practical experience setting up and operating CNC mills in a production environment.
Strong knowledge of GD&T principles and drawing interpretation.
Proficient with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges.
Solid math, troubleshooting, and mechanical aptitude.
Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or on a team
Physical Requirements
Regular ability to lift, carry, and position materials up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and operate machinery
